We were given partners and tasked with creating a drink based on their interests. My partner, Jenna Nowak, and I sat down together for a while and discussed our interests, and I started to see a theme. The first decision was on what drink to make. The original brief was to create a package for an alcoholic drink, but Jenna did not like alcohol. Instead, I created branding for a milk company to fit her preferences.

Next came the branding. Her favorite podcast has a character named Juniper Vale, she and I both enjoy watching a show named RWBY, which has a team named JNPR (pronounced like juniper), and finally, she had been developing a character named Juniper Drake as a passion project. Because of these three details, I chose to name the drink 'jnpr.'
Lastly was deciding what flavors to make and what colors to use for each of the bottles. I didn't want to only do regular milk because that seemed too boring. Giving her regular milk, in my mind, was like gifting someone close to you a gift card — still okay, but not quite personalized. I decided I wanted to create a six pack of flavors. From here, I chose Jenna's favorite flavor, taro, as the flagship as it matched the colors she used for her character. I used elements from her character for the design — the planet on the lid and the criss-cross decal that are circling around the characters head. I cut each of these out on a Cricut vinyl cutter using permanent pearl vinyl.
