In the book Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino, he writes of a terrestrial city, Beersheba, where there is thought to be another twin Beersheba suspended in the heavens. The terrestrial city is believed to be the worst of the two, conceived by evil, while the celestial city is believed to be a city of pure gold, living by all that is good and ideal. It is believed that if the terrestrial city takes on the model of the celestial city, the two will become one. This poster is created to show the similarities and differences between the two cities. It can be turned either way with the intended position being the lighter, celestial side on top.
